After breakfast in a cold and windy Berwick, we braved said cold and wind to have a look at (a part of) the town walls, and then the viaduct of many arches over the Tweed River for the trains.

From there, it was off to the border between England and Scotland, with the obligatory photo stop.
Our final planned stop for the day was at the Falkirk wheel, an amazing feat of Scottish engineering ingenuity - requiring only as much energy as used by the boiling of 8 tea kettles to turn the wheel through a 180 degrees revolution.
